Project Description-
Đi Cà Phê is Cam's debut EP, released in 2023, created during his quarantine in Orange County, USA. The title, Đi Cà Phê, translates to "Going For Coffee" in Vietnamese, a significant aspect of Vietnamese daily life. This activity represents not just leisure, but also a time to connect with colleagues or friends, and to refresh before starting the day.

Cam's music incorporates street sounds from Saigon, Vietnam, combined with a rap style reminiscent of MF DOOM, layered over old-school yet innovative beats produced in Garage Band.

Artistic Interpretation-
My artwork for Cam's EP portrays a cartoonish style of him enjoying coffee on iconic plastic chairs, towering alongside city skyscrapers. I merged my bold and energetic style with Vietnamese street culture by integrating iconic phone number graffiti along the illustration's border. Additionally, I recreated newspaper texture halftones and textured paper on an off-white background to enhance the cultural essence.

I first make many sketches and Cam approved this version, then I go forward from here.

I don't usually make new line art,  I clean them up and redraw if necessary.

Flat colouring without any textures first.

Final with typography, textures, color correction and additional decorative elements.
