Project Details-

Oakland’s @bastiengoat stands out as one of the most innovative DJs in footwork, jungle, and club music scenes. He’s a prolific producer with a vast collection of dynamic, hard-hitting club tracks.

FEATURING Sebastien also known as @subdidi is a multi disciplinary artist who currently resides in Vancouver as a DJ, VJ and tattoo artist. (@subdidink Through the use of these mediums, Sub is consistently adding his experiences as a Haitian artist to the BIPOC Canadian underground music and art scene by specifically implementing sounds, attitudes and themes that are rooted in Black culture.

Artistic Interpretation-
I was commissioned by 999HEARD to make a stylish, dynamic poster artwork for their upcoming party featuring Bastiengoat and Subdidi in Toronto, Ontario Canada. The illustration was inspired by Tamagotchi device designs and Parappa the Rapper.

Sketching process, the client approved the sketch early allowing me necessary time to work on the next steps.

Lineart and cleanup process, I try not to redraw too much as it makes the drawing less dynamic.

Working on typography after finishing cleaning up, adding more textures.
